Drogsan Pharmaceuticals, a generic pharmaceutical company based on research and development, receives support from its R&D Department to achieve its mid-term and long-term goals. The main purpose of the R&D Department is to develop the generic drug needed in the clinic and to offer a high quality, effective, reliable and affordable generic drug solution with the philosophy of Quality by Design (QbD) in drugs. Within this scope, Drogsan R&D Department develops conventional dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, sachets, syrups, oral rinses, suspensions, oral sprays, nasal sprays, ear drops, lotions, creams, foams, ointments, gels and topical sprays as well as controlled release dosage forms according to the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines. The aim of the R&D Department, where almost all of the products in Drogsan Pharmaceuticals portfolio are developed, is to compete not only in Turkish pharmaceuticals market but also in more than 30 countries which the products are exported. Drogsan R&D Department is equipped with advanced technology equipment and pilot production studies are carried out in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The analytical devices and data in Drogsan R&D laboratory are included in the data integrity system that meets international requirements, and all of the documents created are secured through a systematic document management system. Based on a scientific approach, the R&D Department aims to make technological and scientific contributions to our country and become an international brand with its high-standard laboratory infrastructure and qualified workforce. For this purpose, Drogsan R&D continues its studies in the Gazi Teknopark since 2015.
The R&D Department also develops innovative and fixed-dose combination preparations for which patenting, registration and licensing activities are carried out globally primarily in the EU and the US through Business Development and International Markets departments.
